Agricultural students from Spanish vocational school EFA La Malvesia, along with their teacher spent a week in Estonia, as part of Energy for Farming project, visiting and getting acquainted with various companies that enable energy saving and more environmentally friendly energy production. A teacher and students from JKHK organized a busy week full of visits: local recycling plant - Väätsa Landfill, Oisu biogas plant, Estonian OÜ dairy production, Lüüste production (Vändra) - solar panels & wood powering the crop dryer, Paljumäe Farm - Organic dairy production, that makes local dairy products and uses renewable energies: heat & solar panels, Startup eAgronom that helps farmers document their work - Started an initiative: farmers could sell CO2 credit, Allika talu near Tallinn (sheep & cattle farm) that makes meat products on site and uses solar energy, Kruusi Põllumajanduse OÜ - renewable agriculture and organic crop production, Türi Flower Fair & Young Farmer vocational competition.
